What should I do about the critical security update?

What should I do about the critical security update?

The IT team has identified a vulnerability on company-issued laptops that poses a potential security risk. To ensure the protection of our systems and data, all team members must apply the necessary updates as soon as possible.

Follow these steps to update your laptop:
For Windows User
Before we start this activity,
  1. Please back up any file you are working on.
  2. Close all active applications.
  3. It's better to perform this activity after your shift.
1. On the taskbar, click the Windows icon and search for "Check for Updates."
2. Click “Open”
3. It will go directly to Windows Update. Click "Check for updates" and wait until it shows all the necessary updates that you need to download and install.

While waiting to complete all downloads you can continue your task .
Once all downloads are completed, restart will be required to  ensure all patches are installed and do not interrupt any update installations.
4. To check if your machine is updated, you can check for updates again. If nothing appears that needs to be updated, it means that your machine is fully updated.
Please be advised to shut down your machine after every shift to maintain a healthy system.

Note: If you are having issues updating your machine, feel free to reach out to IT Department for assistance.
